🛠️ About the Role:
Join Cummins India as a Product Design Engineer, where you’ll be involved in 3D modeling, system design, and component-level development using industry-leading tools. This is a hands-on design role focused on mechanical systems for various Cummins engine and component platforms.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
3D modeling of components and systems using Creo (Pro-E)
Perform tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, and design optimization
Conduct design simulations and support prototype development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, sourcing, testing, etc.)
Prepare design documentation and support technical reviews
Work with suppliers on manufacturability and validation
Apply DFSS, VPI, and Cummins engineering standards
📚 Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
2–5 years of relevant experience in product or component design
Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, and engineering principles
Hands-on experience with Creo, Windchill, and MS Office tools
